Battle Wounds

Doesn't it seem like Doug is always the one to get hurt?? Doug had his first playoff game tonight for intramural flag football. His team gets so into it and takes their games very seriously. While Ryder and I tried to keep warm, Doug managed to get a black eye. The good thing is, after a tie and going into overtime, their team won! I knew they would, they all play hard and are in it to win it. So the games continue, but hopefully no more bumps and bruises!

Big Boy, Big Boy Food!

So we went ahead and tried out rice cereal for the first time tonight. We don't have a high chair for him yet, but his bumbo worked out well. I don't know if he quite got it at first because he just started sucking on the spoon. Then I would get it in his mouth and he would just open his mouth and let it all pour out..what a messy boy! He didn't seem to like it or hate it, overall just seemed not interested. So, maybe we will try again in a couple of days. It was a good try.

Winter Accessory

With the weather quickly cooling down, and me being so paranoid about Ryder getting sick, I thought it was time to get him something warm. I love JJ Cole's bundle me. They have different styles, colors, and infant and toddler sizes.
Ryder is loving it! It's so soft and cozy, and he falls asleep so quickly in it. I only wish I had one for myself! I am not ready for the cold winter days!

4-Month Stats

We took Ryder for his 4 month check today. He is growing right on track and took his shots like a champ! He only cried for a few seconds. As of now he is:

Height: 25 1/2 (50%)
Weight: 14 lb 3 oz (25%)
Head: 40 cm (10%)

So still little head, but a good size. The doctor said he seems to be very healthy and to begin introducing solids! If any of you moms have a good feeding schedule with solids that have worked for you, let me know! I'd like your ideas!

Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween from our little bumble bee! We of course had to take Ryder trick or treating for his first halloween, even though I'm not the biggest fan of halloween, it's fun for the kids. Anyway, we drove down to our friend's Chris and Carrie's in Spring City for the big event. We went just to a few houses, until Ryder fell asleep. We had fun watching the kids get so excited and celebrating Ryder's first Halloween. Thanks Chris and Carrie for the fun weekend! We had a great time!

Our little Family

Our Flying Bee!

Even Aunt Meg came with us! We had fun with you and so glad you got to come down!

Carrie's little girl Chloe and her friend...so cute!

The trick-or-treaters!

Chloe and Ryder

While at Chris and Carrie's, Chloe shared her big girl chair with Ryder. He was so cute sitting up next to her. I think Chloe liked having a little baby around, and she is such a good little helper! Ryder would smile so big at her whenever he saw her, and she had plenty of kisses for him!

Then Chloe decided to snuggle up next to him, and I'm not sure how he felt about that. :)

Getting so Big!

Ryder turns 4 months old tomorrow, and once again, I still can't believe it! He is looking more like a little boy than a baby! Before we know it, he will be up moving around and talking back..well, let's hope not. Here's our sweet little 4 month old! (Stats coming later this week)
